What are Quick Actions?
The Quick Actions button (also called the FAB - Floating Action Button) is a circular button with a plus icon that appears in the bottom-right corner of most pages. It gives you instant access to the most common tasks you perform every day.
Using Quick Actions
Click the Quick Actions button
Look for the floating button with a plus icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
Choose an action
When you click the button, a menu expands showing available actions. The actions available depend on what page you’re on:
From HomeBase:

- Customer - Add a new customer with optional property details
- New Job - Create confirmed work (customer + property + service + appointment)
- New Quote - Create a quote (formal quote or assessment) using the guided wizard
- Record Payment - Log a cash, check, or other offline payment received

Invoice - Send a payment link to a customer via SMS

- Record Payment - Record an offline payment received from this customer
- Invoice - Send a payment link to this customer via SMS
- New Quote - Create a quote for this customer (skips customer selection step)
- New Job - Create a job for this customer (skips customer selection step)
- New Quote - Create a quote for this property (skips customer and property steps)
- New Job - Create a job for this property (skips customer and property steps)
- Add Service - Add a new service to this property
Click outside the menu or press the Quick Actions button again to close the menu without selecting an action.
Available actions
Create a customer
Opens the customer creation form where you can:- Enter customer contact information
- Optionally add their first property
- Save and continue to set up services

New Quote
The New Quote action opens the quote creation wizard where you can create either:- Quotes - Formal quotes with pricing for customer review and approval
- Assessments - On-site evaluation appointments where you visit first, then create a quote
- Choosing quote or assessment
- Selecting or creating the customer
- Selecting or creating the property
- Entering service details and pricing

- From the dashboard: Standard 4-step wizard
- From a customer page: Skips customer selection (pre-filled)
- From a property page: Skips customer AND property selection (both pre-filled)
New Job
The New Job action creates confirmed work using a multi-step wizard:- Choose intent - Schedule a job or visit property first (redirects to quote wizard)
- Select or create customer - Search existing or add new
- Select or create property - Choose address or add new location
- Configure job details - Service name, pricing, billing, frequency
- Schedule first appointment (optional) - Pick date and time

- Work is confirmed and doesn’t need a quote or assessment
- You know the pricing and scope upfront
- You’re ready to schedule and start immediately
- From the dashboard: Full 4-step wizard
- From a customer page: Skips customer selection step
- From a property page: Skips customer AND property steps
Record Payment
Opens the payment recording form where you can:- Search for a customer (or use the pre-selected customer from the current page)
- Choose the payment method (Cash, Check, Credit Card, Bank Transfer, Venmo/Zelle, or Other)
- Enter the amount
- Add optional notes (check number, reference, etc.)
Invoice
Opens the invoice flow where you can:- Select a customer (or use the pre-selected customer from the current page)
- Review and edit a pre-filled SMS message with the customer’s payment link
- Tap Send SMS to open your messaging app with the message ready to send
- Or tap Copy / Copy Message to copy the link or full message


Context-specific actions
The Quick Actions menu adapts based on the page you’re viewing: HomeBase Actions:- Customer, New Job, New Quote, Record Payment, Invoice
- Record Payment, Invoice, New Quote (customer pre-selected), New Job (customer pre-selected)
- New Job (customer & property pre-selected), New Quote (customer & property pre-selected), Add Service
On the Billing History page, Add Charge and Add Credit are dedicated buttons at the top of the page — not part of the FAB. The Record Payment button is also available in the page header.
Where the Quick Actions button appears
The Quick Actions button appears on most pages after you log in. It floats in the bottom-right corner, always accessible no matter where you are in the application. The actions available change based on context:- HomeBase - Customer, New Job, New Quote, Record Payment, Invoice
- Customer pages - Record Payment, Invoice, New Quote (pre-filled customer), New Job (pre-filled customer)
- Property pages - New Job (pre-filled customer & property), New Quote (pre-filled customer & property), Add Service
The Quick Actions button is context-aware, automatically skipping steps in the wizards and pre-selecting customers when it knows the context from the current page.
Tips
- Use context shortcuts - Click New Quote or New Job from customer/property pages to skip steps in the wizard
- Choose the right workflow - New Quote for quotes/assessments, New Job for confirmed work
- Quick invoicing - From any customer page, use the FAB to instantly open the Invoice flyout and send a payment link
- Record payments quickly - Use Record Payment to log cash, check, or other offline payments without leaving the customer’s page
- Add notes from customer/property pages - Click the Edit button on a customer or property page to add notes via the edit modal
- Context-aware actions - The menu adapts to show the most relevant actions for the current page
- Always accessible - The button floats above content so it’s always visible
